I love Julie’s posts and look forward to yours. I am going to lead our family Seder for about 20 pp this year for the first time and I am incorporating the new AJWS hagaddah. I always serve a mix of traditional and newly discovered food for Pesach and am starting to gather recipes this weekend. Wish me luck being main cook and Seder leader! I guess my husband will have to take on more of the serving and clearing. Yea!

I’d like to make a different charoset recipe. Also thinking about having a sangria along with our “usual” wines.

It’s amazing. The Passover Seder is thousands of years old. It’s consistency is so important and yet there is always something new each year. Over the last couple of years we have added some new KOP wines to our traditional concord grape which I believe we should not abandon. This year we’ll try some new ones. The big change is the children growing up and then the grandchildren. As they get bigger they bring new things to the table. this year, our youngest grandson will hopefully do the 4 questions by himself for the 1st time. Whatever he does will be unique and a joy.

This is something new we are doing before the holiday — We are having an all you can eat chametz party to get ready. We’ll enjoy some yummy carbs while clearing out the pantry of all chametz. This is a beautiful seder plate, btw!
