The Scoop

BLOG READY

Happy New Year!

We hope 2014 brings you much love, good health and lots of happiness.

Here’s our last scoop of the year…

Ron Lieber’s article “The Holidays: A Bit More Giving, a Bit Less Getting” from The Motherlode Blog in The New York Times is a great read if you need some new and creative ways to balance out the getting/giving equation within your family. The ideas he offers can be implemented throughout the year and not just during the holiday season.

Sharing gefilte fish becomes an important family tradition in Jessica Soffer’s “A Feast of Many Fishes” in Martha Stewart Living.

From Israel 21C…read about how Maor Bar is making mealtimes with kids more fun in “Do Try This At Home: Meals with Kids.”  And check out the new hip e-commerce site based in Tel Aviv that brings together art and design on a global scale in “Artsetters, Setting Global Style Trends.

I’m a big fan of Dani Shapiro. In addition to writing fiction and non-fiction, she also writes a blog and it’s worth checking out.  In particular, “On Vulnerability” and “On Small, Seismic Shifts” are two of her latest posts that I really like.

What about you?

What have you read that has inspired you?

Let us know! We’d love to hear from you.
