I’ve never really thought about my food values and their relationship to my fashion choices but after reading about Medusa’s vegan bags on Israel 21C I realized much like buying sustainable and organic food I can also feel good about my fashion too. If I care deeply about where my food comes from (and I do) shouldn’t I also care how my handbags are made?
Why covet a Birkin bag when you can have a chic Medusa bag without the hefty price tag or the guilt? Can’t we all do with a little less guilt in our lives? A handbag that’s ethically made, cruelty free and super stylish? I’m all for feeling good and looking good too.
Gili Rozin and Adi Singfer, graduates of the Jewelry Design Department of Shenkar College in Ramat Gan, Israel, founded Medusa in 2009. They met while in school and knew they wanted to create something special together.
The idea behind their bags, which are all handmade from non-leather materials, is the creation of something new and different—working with a relatively well-known material (plastic) in a unique and innovative way.
